Open banking Payments is our latest feature that enables you to pay people on agentOS, through agentOS, with just a few short clicks. In order to make the payments you will need to ensure that you have the recipients bank details stored against them.
Each Open Banking Payment transaction is 25p + vat which is cost price for the transaction from Truelayer
If you encounter an error making the payment, check the sort code. Some banks do not like spaces in the sort code so will need the format to be either 001122 or 00-11-22.
To Make an Open Banking Payment, on any person profile you want to pay (Landlords, Contractor/Tenant Etc), click 'Actions', then 'Make Open Banking Payment'
Select the bank account you wish to pay from (that is connected to Open Banking) and your Invoicing option. If you want to send the person an invoice, select Create Invoices and Send to Postbag
Enter the reference you wish to send and the amount to pay then click Pay with Open Banking
(The reference will allow agentOS to auto reconcile the transaction as long as the bank uses the same reference. Monzo bank changes the reference so Monzo bank customers can not auto reconcile payments)
You will then need to click Authorise and follow the onscreen instructions. This will be linked to your online banking account so instructions from this point may differ.
There should be a screen similar to the following
After completing your onscreen instructions you will see confirmation on screen that this transaction has been processed.
You can check the status of any pending open banking payments by clicking Open Banking Payments in the left-hand ladder
This will appear on the persons account as a Made payment until it is reconciled.
With this example, the statement entry auto reconciled shortly after refreshing the Open Banking transactions. No need to link the payment to a payment group, it was already linked through the reference and posted automatically.
You can also pay a person without using Pay People In Credit. In a persons account, click Actions and Pay With Open Banking to begin the process.
