Before you can access your agentOS emails through Outlook, you will need to add an email account to Outlook. You will need the following information:
- Your agentOS email address (forename.surname-companyname@home.letmc.com)
- Incoming (POP3) mail server – letmc.com
- Outgoing (SMTP) mail server – letmc.com
- Your Username for agentOS (forename.surname-letmc)
- Your agentOS password
1. Open up Outlook 2016. The first screen you see depends on whether or not you already use Outlook. If you’ve not configured Outlook previously, you will see the first screen below. If you have set up Outlook before, you need to go to File > Account & Settings > Account Settings > New…
2. Enter your agnetOS email address in the field above. Before clicking Connect, click on Advanced Options and tick the box that appears for Let me set up my account manually.
3. Choose the POP account type on the next screen
4. Enter the details into the setting screen as shown below
5. Enter your agentOS password into the next screen
6. After attempting to connect, a pop up will appear with a User name and Password field. The Username field will display your agentOS e-mail address, this is incorrect. You will need to change this to your agentOS user name.
7. Once you have updated your User Name and clicked OK, Outlook will attempt to connect. If all goes well you will be greeted with the screen below
Troubleshooting
Should you encounter any problems setting up your account in Outlook, please don’t hesitate to contact our Support Team. However, there are a few checks you can do beforehand to ensure that nothing obvious has been missed.
- Ensure that you have selected POP as the account type.
- Ensure that the server for Incoming Mail is letmc.com.
- Ensure that the Port for Incoming Mail is set to 995.
- Ensure that both options below are ticked:
- This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
- Ensure that the server for Outgoing Mail is letmc.com.
- Ensure that the Port for Outgoing Mail is set to 25.
- Ensure that Encryption Method is set to Auto.
- Ensure that the option below is ticked:
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
