This is a similar to how you would change a rental amount as laid out in the guide below:
https://letmc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013802237-Rent-or-Payment-Schedule
The important thing to remember when applying these changes is that any changes need to be set to take effect in the future as the dates need to be passed through to trigger correctly. in the example below, the rent date is currently the 15th of the month and Its being changed to the 1st, and it's currently 7th
You will need to go to the "Rent Schedule and Standing Order" section in the left hand ladder on the tenancy, and select "set up Rent Schedule".
You will need to delete the last line on the Rent Schedule and then add 2 new lines.
The first line will be your historic line where the start date will be the day after the last schedule line, or left blank for the start of the tenancy, and the End date will be before the day before the new payment date (in this example its 31st may). Set the payment collection method amount and frequency as per the previous schedule. and select add.
For the Second line set the start date to be the date of the new rent payment (in this example its 1st June), and the end date to be left blank (end of tenancy) with the collection type rental frequency and rental amount as required, then select add
You can then select "Setup rent break down"
If this change is going to take place before the next rent call date you will need to select "Change next collection date" on the rent schedule page, and select the same date as the start date of the second line (1st June from the example)
Any rent required to moved the date can be made due manually on the tenant using their action drop down "make rent due"
If you have multiple tenants at a property without 1 being defined as a head tenant you may also need to review the rent breakdown to ensure all parties are paying the correct share.
