agentOS introduces Single Sign-On!! There are two methods of SSO.
- Using Microsoft-Entra
- Setting up using staff profile
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication process that allows a user to access multiple applications or systems with one set of login credentials (such as a username and password). Instead of logging in separately to each service, the user logs in once, and that session grants access to all associated systems.
Some key benefits of SSO:
- Improved User Experience: Users don’t have to remember multiple passwords or log in multiple times.
- Security Benefits: Reduces password fatigue and the risk of weak/reused passwords, especially when combined with multi-factor authentication.
How you can use SSO:
- Different environments and platforms - to access emails, HR websites, agentOS software!
- Appropriate example platforms for SSO - Google, Microsoft, Facebook credentials can be used to login to third-party websites.
How to use SSO to login to agentOS
Using Microsoft-Entra
Log in as usual, and please click 'Setup AgentOS Single Sign On".
You will be taken to the following screen where you can choose to go through a separate platform to login using 'Sign In With Microsoft-Entra'.
By going through to a separate platform, you will be asked to confirm your login for that platform
Which might then prompt you to approve your sign in request using your account / app
Once you have approved your login and signed in, you will be able to access your agentOS staff login!
Setting up using staff profile
If you're not signing in using Microsoft Entra, you'll need to set your account up to be SSO ready. To do this, please use the Classic Sign In option and go to the Staff menu in Settings. In here find the staff profile that you'd like to set up and select 'Send Single Sign-On Email':
This will send you a one-time email to set up their SSO details, which can then be used for all future logins to agentOS. This will go to External Email 1.
You will then receive an email which you can follow to set up SSO. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder.
You will be able to set up your password for your account using this link. Once you have set the password, you will receive a verification code.
You will need to set up your MFA. You can use any Authenticator app on your device.
You'll then receive a success pop-up message. You can now use this email address when logging in to agentOS.
If you forget your password, please click the forgotten password button and enter the email you use for SSO.
You will then receive a code to your email, and you can reset your password here.
