We recommend looking to the bottom of the guide for your bank type to ensure it is compatible.
Before you begin the steps, please first confirm the last date you have uploaded statement entries for. You will need to know this. You can check this through Reconcile statements - unposted and posted entries.
Please note that with Open Banking, discrepancies may occur with your bank statement that are out of our control due to the way that some banks interact with Open Banking. If you do encounter any issues please email support@agentos.com for assistance.
Barclays clients may encounter discrepancies due to the timestamp of entries late in the day. While some entries will pull through to Open Banking on one day, Barclays will add this to your statement on the next. While we allow for this as best as we can, Barclays can change the cut off time for these entries without informing anyone which can cause discrepancies with your Reconcile System to Bank balance. Please contact support@agentos.com if you need any assistance with this.
Step 1: go to Accounts tab and select "Bank Accounts" - then click onto the Actions button to the right hand side of the account which you wish to Link to Open Banking, like so:
This will open the following window:
Click Connect - it will then confirm that you are now being directed to your bank. You can then follow the instructions to log in to your banking, give your permission and enter the access code displayed on the screen. Once you enter the code into the online banking site, you can return to the instructions window as requested.
When you have successfully given permission to True Layer, it will clearly confirm this.
Once this is complete you will be redirected back to the system screen where you will click the following:
Step 2: You will be asked to confirm your account and from which point in time to import statements from, please ensure that you select midnight of the day you upload from. This ensures you only add entries which apply to transactions from the date and time you wish you to upload for, not prior to.
Please ensure you select the correct account.
You can now view your entries in Reconcile Statements which is located to the left hand ladder.
Please note that Standing Orders won't automatically link to the person's profile as the reference on a bank statement does not match to what we are sent from the bank via Open Banking.
Due to security purposes, the authorisation of open banking does need to be renewed every 85 days - you should see the system counting down the days against your bank account when you go into the accounts tab > bank accounts.
To renew he authorisation when the time has come, the steps are very similar to the above so you can use those. Alternatively, please see (and possible save) the following guide with the instructions:
